Leather, Maxi and Red Lips

When a long overdue heatwave hit the winter plagued North East over the weekend, every girl pulled out her favorite sundress to celebrate. And I was absolutely in the mood for a floral print maxi dress! Cotton sundress still looks a little flimsy in April? Add layers! Feminine maxi sounds a little out this year? Revitalize it with a cool leather moto vest! When I was in mood for boho chic, no one could stop me. :)

To light up the face, I used a true red lipstick:  Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Best Red. This is the second drugstore lipstick I loved -- I know I'm a late comer to this market. It felt creamy and light on the lips, and stays fresh 3-4 hours without retouch. In terms of color, its neutral red is closest to NARS Jungle Red. If you want a classic true red at a fraction of designer lipstick price, give this one a try.   

Both the dress and the vest were bought last year, but I'm sure you are able to find similar items in the market.

Let's Go Shapeless!

Here comes my new casual weekend dress from Free People. I've been a big fan of Free People's free spirit and fluid material for years. Its Boho style easily tunes me into the weekend laid-back mode. And you know what? This dress has a funny name -- Peacemaker Print Shapeless dress! Perfect, let me go shapeless and reckless when I have a luxurious warm early-fall afternoon... :)

That said, I received an official complaint from you-know-whom yesterday. "Babe, when we first met, you were always in body hugging silk dresses and heels. Now look at you! A shapeless dress and a pair of Birki's... AGAIN? Are you officially a hippie now?"

Honey, this is called couple life... Comfort rules. Go get a pair of Birki's and rock with me. LOL! xoxo~~~

Hey, I'm not a quitter!

Sorry for being absent in the past a few days! Life has been hectic, but I'm committed to this blog! I'm desperately in need of a haircut. Nevertheless, I'm here posting more pictures, because you've asked for more... I feel so touched and loved. xoxo~~ :)

Just a quick shot of what I wore this weekend: a beautiful embroidered mini-dress from Free People. Yes, it deserves a close-up. Got lots of compliments throughout the day. This is one of those pieces that represents the brand's free spirit in a more subtle style. I attempted to mix it with a structured purse, a preppy watch, and studded masculine boots to create a Boho chic outfit. Do you like it?
